Certain volunteers stand out for their unselfish commitment to SigEp and our undergraduate brothers. They consistently go above and beyond the call of duty. They create and steer a vision for self-sustaining chapters and AVCs, and they reinforce the values of our Fraternity, thereby leaving an indelible imprint on SigEp. Each year we honor the MVP, or in this case the MVV, the Most Valuable Volunteer, for each District with the “Volunteer of the Year” award. Here’s what the Awards Committee saw in the Volunteers behind Pitt SigEp in 2019:
This final Volunteer of the Year Award honors a pair of volunteers who serve as a team. Since taking on the role three years ago, these co-chapter counselors have built a solid connection with the undergrads. They’re both excellent mentors and role models, and their positive influence is evident in the deepening maturity displayed by the men of the chapter. They’re also highly engaged and frequently attend Chapter events in addition to hosting gatherings in their home. Congratulations to Robertta and Bob Goffeney (Lawrence Tech ’83).
