Recipients of Alumni & Volunteer Corporation Operational Excellence have demonstrated that to be great, we must be excellent in all areas of operations. They mentor undergraduates, cultivate and steward alumni, and provide exceptional facilities to foster living-learning environments.  Here’s what the Awards Committee saw in the Volunteers behind Pitt SigEp in 2019:

This AVC Operational Excellence recipient has excelled at cultivating alumni involvement and supporting undergraduates. We all know of the power of consistent alumni giving and the benefits that come along with it, and this AVC has excelled in recent years in enlisting alumni to support the undergraduate chapter. By increasing their social media presence and making regular asks of alumni, the chapter has built a culture of consistent generosity and has been able to send additional brothers to programs like Carlson. They’ve also recently engaged new volunteers, filling all roles on their AVC and building the capability to mentor many undergraduates beyond the executive board. For their success in these areas, we present this AVC Operational Excellence Award to the Pennsylvania Gamma AVC at the University of Pittsburgh.
